Phytosanitary
Nematode is a microscopic worm that, preferably, attacks pines and other resinous trees, making the wood to rotter. To stop this situation, the solution is to apply a phytosanitary treatment that, by applying heat (HT), fights and kills the pine nematode.
In order to control this situation, the Portuguese Government, by a law decree, decided: “All bee hives made in Portugal, mainland and islands, that are for export or to the buffer zone (almost all national territory) must be stamped with the phytosanitary proof”.
Since 2008 that Casa do Apicultor has a phytosanitary passport with register number PT-4304-HT, being accredited by DGAV to stamp in all its wood products, can sell hives in all Portuguese territory and foreign countries, what could not be possible without it.
