Wood types

Much of what makes a hive durable and resistant is the materials that make it up, so Casa do Apicultor chooses to always guarantee and select the best wood.

The raw materials we choose are pine (pinus pinaster) and cryptomeria (cryptomeria japonica). In 2021, we were pioneers in launching products on the market made using paulownia wood (paulownia tomentosa), so we have in-depth knowledge of its use and treatment.

High quality certified wood, highly resistant to climatic variations and therefore ideal for the conservation and durability of the hives and components we produce.
